Burroughs House | Engagement Photography

December 27, 2014  •  Leave a Comment

This year we've been very fortunate to get to photograph so many incredible couples. For this engagement session, we got to go back to the historic Burroughs House and shoot around the property. It sits right on the Caloosahatchee River, giving us lots of options for scenery. I particularly loved the ferns growing through the old wooden shingles on several of the buildings. We always love shooting at these historic venues because they have so much character!

Our couple this time was a dream to work with. They were both so obviously in love and in sync, that posing was almost an afterthought. They got right into place and then their love for each other immediately took over. While nervous at first, you'd never know they weren't paid models. Five minutes in and they were totally natural! It was a dreary overcast day, but we dodged a few light raindrops and managed to get some amazing photos which they loved!
